School Uniform
At Holy Family, we are very proud of the high standards maintained by our pupils and uniform is a very important part of this. We feel that first impressions count and we try to promote in the children a sense of pride in themselves and their achievements and hope that is reflected in this how they present themselves. For this reason, we expect all pupils to wear our uniform correctly.
The uniform consists of:
- Blue school sweat shirt or cardigan with the school logo (These can be purchased from ‘Bang Bang’ in Kirkham or Preston)
- Pale blue polo shirt (These can be purchased from any shop – the supermarkets are usually good value for money)
- Grey school trousers, skirt or pinafore dress (Can be purchased from any shop.)
- Grey socks (boys)
Grey or white socks or tights (Girls) - Black school shoes – these must be plain black. If the shoes have laces these should also be black. Girls’ shoes must be full shoes, and not have heels. Try to avoid slip on ballerina style shoes as these are not very practical for school; they tend to slip off when girls are playing out. (Children in Y3 to Y6 may bring trainers to school to change into at lunchtime for playing football etc.)
- In the Summer term, boys may wear plain grey school shorts instead of trousers with their pale blue polo shirt. Girls may wear a blue gingham dress. (Both available from any supermarket)
Children who do not wear the correct school uniform will have a phone-call home and be expected to come in the following day in the appropriate clothing.
Hajibs should be plain black or royal blue.
PE Kit
The PE kit requirements are shown below:
- Plain white t-shirt/polo shirt (available at any super market)

If your child cannot remove their own earrings they should not wear them on PE days. Piercings can NOT be worn for any PE session, sporting session or swimming session. Please consider piercing your child’s ears at the beginning of the summer holiday to allow ample time for healing.
