Family Support

I’m Mrs. Caroline Higham, Holy Family’s Family Support Mentor. I have been working at Holy Family School for the past 8 years in various roles. As from September 2020 I have stepped into the role of Learning/ Attendance and Family Support Mentor.

At Holy Family we always look to provide the best possible services to our children, families and community. We understand that many children and families’ experience difficult times which can make a happy, successful school and home life a struggle. If you as a parent have any worries about your child, you can always talk to their class teacher who can work and address these issues. However, if you feel you are not able to or maybe there are other problems you need some help with you can always get in touch with me.

My role in school is to provide support, advice and information to the families/cares within our school community. I can help you with any issues that you may have in relation to your child’s education, behaviour and wellbeing. I am also here as someone to talk to if YOU need help or have any queries.

I can meet with you in school or I am available for home visits out of hours.

Advice and support is confidential although concerns relating to the safeguarding of children will always be dealt with in accordance with the schools safeguarding and child protection policy.

I may not have all the answers, but hopefully I can help you to work out how to find them or signpost you to the relevant person or organization.
